Nuclear magnetic resonance for interfaces in rechargeable batteries

نویسندگان

چکیده

Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) is a powerful technique to probe the local environment of atoms bearing nuclear spin. Interfaces in rechargeable battery, within multi-component electrode or electrolytes between electrodes and electrolyte, are key its function lifetime. NMR spectroscopy solid phases battery participate understanding processes at these interfaces. The solid-state community still highly active for ex situ measurements. Dynamic Polarization attracted interest thanks enhanced sensitivity. In imaging prospered context metallic Li Na deposition, either as an ageing process conventional batteries, primary metal battery.

Rechargeable Batteries

Purpose: The goal of our battery research is to produce an all solid-state, high performance rechargeable cell. Moving to a liquid-free polymer electrolyte eliminates the need for heavy casing material, thus the energy density is increased significantly. In addition, the absence of solvent additives leads to better thermal and chemical stability, broadening the range of applications for which t...

High power rechargeable batteries

Energy and power density are the key figures of merit for most electrochemical energy storage systems. Considerable efforts worldwide have been made to improve the energy density of rechargeable (secondary) batteries, as this is critical for most applications. As the penetration of batteries into ever more demanding applications has increased, power density, the allowed rate of energy transfer ...

Nanocrystalline hydrogen storage alloys for rechargeable batteries

AB -type intermetallic compounds were prepared by the melt spinning method. Structure analysis was carried out by X-ray 5 diffractometry, SEM and high resolution electron microscopy. The hydrogen storage capacity was determined by isothermic mass controlled absorption of hydrogen and by electrochemical charge /discharge cycles. A variation of the preparation parameters showed that a nanocrystal...
